As a civil libertarian, Rep. Boyer values bodily autonomy. He introduced LD 1209, which would have reinstated the religious and philosophical vaccine exemptions, but only for private and online charter schools. Even this proposal was deemed too extreme and was defeated by the Democrats. Rep. Boyer also introduced LD 172 which would have allowed the nurses who lost their job because of the mandate to go back to work. This was also defeated, but soon after Governor Mills announced that the state would roll back the mandate.
